In this retreat, we’ll explore how the direct experience of various levels of sound and Consciousness builds a natural and simple bridge to transcendence and the fulfillment of our highest nature. Together we will engage with silent, deep listening practices and creative, musical exercises which open the heart, regulate the nervous system and cultivate harmony within.
We invite you to a spirited weekend of sound and silence in the hills of North Carolina. We are joined by multi instrumentalist, storyteller, and magic weaver, JoEl Karabo Elliott. JoEl brings years of experience in guiding transformative musical experiences through performance, workshops, and his international projects.
All are welcome to this retreat, regardless of musical and meditation experience. All forms of inner gifts and creativity are welcome.

Silence Singing At Temenos Retreat Center
with Althaea
Join us in the mountains of Western Massachusetts as we open our creative channels to silence, song, and spirit. Althaea will be joining Thomas and Satya, the cofounders of Silence Singing, as a special guest facilitator. Althaea brings classical music training to her medicinal songs. We are thrilled to bring her brilliant heart and voice into this retreat as a leader and facilitator. You can read more about her work as a musician and teacher by clicking here.
We will be hosted by Temenos Retreat Center, outside Amherst, MA. The land is beautiful, healing, and host of many wonderful gatherings throughout the years. Meditation and workshops will be hosted in and near the lodge. Both shared and personal lodgings are available, and accommodations are rustic. Throughout the weekend we will have ample time to appreciate the land, hike its trails, and swim in the pond.

Silence Singing
Join us north of the Columbia River, at Bells Mountain Dharma Center, for a long weekend of song, silence, and spirit. We will be collectively nourished by the steadiness of Zen practice, along with the vibrant aliveness of trees, streams, and flowing voices.
Our very first retreat was hosted on this land in 2025, and we are honored and grateful to bring together silence and song within this blossoming community.

Welcome. This will be our second retreat at the Hurley House, and we are so excited to once again fill this house with warmth, nourishment, song, and community.
This year’s Silence Singing Residency will orient toward creating and recording music together, as a community. Some songs may arrive with us, and many songs will be born along the way. Our intention is to create an atmosphere of clarity, grace, and fortitude, as we weave together the gifts of our community into an offering for the world.
This residency is by application, and we welcome all spiritual and artistic mediums to be apply. Applications will be available in April.
Rocky Mountain Eco-dharma Retreat Center
November 4-8
We are honored to host this Fall retreat in the mountains outside of Boulder, Colorado, at the Rocky Mountain Ecodharma Retreat Center. Led by Silence Singing cofounders Thomas Walker and Satya Hertz, this will be a deep dive into listening, creating, and being in community. All levels of practitioners and musicians are invited to attend.
In this retreat, expect more emphasis on silence and deep listening, as we are held by the mountains and trees. Can you hear their whispers? What are their songs that long to be sung through us? What are their wishes for us, and our world?
